I stand by the interpretation I stated when I opened this review. The law intends for this to be banishment only. Even though I disagree with this being limited to banishment only, I will not RoJ this. The legislative branch either needs to rewrite CC:SFI, Section III, to make its intent clearer to help avoid this confusion in the future, or it needs to be rewritten to define an escalating punishment structure. I do not agree with ZeoL's interpretation of the law, but I do agree with his intent. I acknowledge that I could be wrong, therefore, I will state my interpretation of the law and welcome any refutations or feedback from ZeoL, or anyone else involved with Mileth Law, before I make a decision on how to resolve this. ZeoL refers to the JA:P, Section III.C. In that section of the law, it states "multiple crimes concurrently", however, the two sleephunting charges in question did not happen at the same time. They occurred one after another, with a little over 1 moon between them. Therefore, they are not concurrent, they are consecutive. I do not believe this section of law applies to consecutive charges. ZeoL also refers to the JA:BLEII, Section 2. I am not sure why this law is being presented, as I do not believe this section has anything to do with the matter at hand. This section defines how long a crime can go unreported before it expires. It has nothing to do with linking two crimes together. Moreover, even if this section did apply, the time between the two cases is just over a moon and would therefore have expired. I believe the issue is solely contained within the CC:SFI, Section III. It states that the penalty for sleephunting is Banishment. There is no mention of subsequent offenses, and if escalating punishment was intended to apply to sleephunting, this is where it should be defined. The absence of such leads me to believe that the intent was for sleephunting, including repeat offenses, to be punished by banishment only and not escalate to exile. Either way, this is poorly defined and requires clarification. Therefore, it is my interpretation that, as currently defined in Mileth Law, exile is not a legal punishment at this time. If exile is the appropriate course of action, then the CC:SFI, Section III, will need to be amended by either RoJ or the LRP.
