''[[laws:| <<< Mileth Law ]]'' \\ ===== Official Instruction Mandate I ===== Official Instruction Mandate **************************** The purpose of this mandate is to outline the various requirements an aisling must fulfill before taking office. For the purpose of this mandate, the phrase 'though if no is available to' means that that office is vacant or the officials in that office are either family to or in the same guild of the aisling requesting a test (entry exam). I. Valid Testing There are certain instances when an aisling must take and pass an entry exam prior to taking office; as outlined later in this mandate. Also, there are certain restrictions on how entry exams may be administered. Only a Guard Captain or a Judge may administer a Guard entry exam. Only a Judge may administer a Guard Captain entry exam (though if no Judge is available to, the senior Guard Captain may administer the entry exam). Only a Burgess may administer a Demagogue entry exam (though if no Burgess is available to, the senior Demagogue may administer the entry exam). A passed test grade is only valid for two double-moons. After two double-moons have passed from the initial testing date, a test must be taken and passed again. A failed test grade is only valid for one double-moon. After that, re-testing is permitted. Note: The tester cannot be a guild member or a family member of the aisling taking the test, nor can they have been either within the previous double-moon. As follows, these are the situations in which an aisling is required to take and pass an entry exam prior to taking office: 1. If their legend will read [Guard, Guard Captain, Judge, Demagogue, Burgess] (1). 2. If an aisling is seeking Guard, Guard Captain, or Demagogue and has not been active in that office (or an office superior to that and of the same branch) within the past three deochs, they must take and pass an entry exam for that office. 3. If an aisling seeks the office of Judge or Burgess and has not been active in that branch of office for two deochs, they must and pass an exam relevant to that office prior to taking office. II. Proof of Valid Testing 1. Memories ((screenshots)) of the testee's submitted answers should be kept for one deoch by the official who tested the aisling. 2. Memories of the mailed result, or the posted result, of passing the required test should be kept by the testee. Note: The testee is only required to provide evidence two. If the tester fails to provide the first required proof of valid testing, then that official shall be given probation but, the testee will not be affected in any way, as long as the test is valid beyond that. III. Record Keeping Examination results should be posted on the Mileth Judgment Cases board within 8 suns ((24 hours)). Failure to ensure results are posted is dereliction of duty.
