Mileth Town Charter
We, the province of Mileth, do hereby form this charter to maintain
peace and posterity in our town. We do swear to heed and abide by the
guidelines herein:

Article I

Demagoguery Duties and Conduct
The demagoguery is the pillar of the community. A demagogue must
conduct themselves with the dignity and respect of their office. The
demagoguery consists of the burgess and demagogues of Mileth. The main
duties of both demagogues and burgess alike are to listen to all
practical and reasonable requests of the people and to pass laws for
the welfare of all citizens.

Section A
It is the obligation of the demagoguery to remove any and all
material not intended for the community or pertaining to happenings in
Temuair. As well, the demagoguery has the duty to remove any parchment
found generally offensive. If a citizen believes a parchment wrongfully
removed, they shall address a letter to the acting burgess for review.
The boards are to be kept peaceful at all times.

Section B
Exile is to be utilized only when it is called for by the law. This action
may only be pardoned by the demagogue who dealt out the exile as stated in
the "Persistence of Authority" Law.

Section C
Laws are written with a simple majority vote of the demagogues or
by a burgess alone, who has listened to amendments to the bill proposed
by the demagoguery. A burgess has the discretion to review and remove
laws they deem unfit. These burgess actions can be overridden by a 2/3rds
majority vote of the demagogues, in which then the law may only be
overridden with consent of the original author. Demagogues may also remove
laws by vote, however it is more difficult to do so. A law may be
removed by a 2/3rds majority support for the removal. After a law is
removed in this manner,it may not be attempted to be reinstated by the same
demagogue or burgess.
The laws must be signed by all the demagoguery that approve of it so that
support may be known.

Section D
The demagoguery are to meet en masse at least once a double-moon
to review and revise laws. ((Meetings to conducted through a mailing list
to be named later to provide for those in different time zones.)) No laws
need be passed in this time, but there must be evidence of the meeting and
all that attended. This is to prevent important measures from dying on the
Village hall board.
