Citizens of Mileth, This notice is to draw attention to a persistent and growing problem in our community: the increase in litter across our village, woodlands, and fairgrounds. We have observed an unfortunate rise in improperly discarded trash, from unwanted armors and weapons to random body parts of slain beasts and creatures. The aesthetic blight caused by litter degrades our shared environment and negatively impacts our quality of life. More importantly, it poses serious risks to our local ecosystem, harms wildlife, and can create safety and health hazards for both Aislings and pets. Current Efforts and Challenges We currently hold no law against littering in Mileth. It is clear that with a lack of legislation around this increasing issue, we are ill-equipped to combat this growing concern. Considering Stricter Measures: The Need for Legislative Changes Given the ongoing issue, our Demagoguery is exploring the possibility of introducing anti-littering laws. We believe that more robust measures may be necessary to effect a meaningful and lasting change in behavior. Potential legislative changes under consideration include: Potential fines and penalties: For both minor littering and larger-scale illegal dumping, higher fines can serve as a stronger financial deterrent. Tiered penalty system: Different penalty levels could be established based on the volume, type, and location of the litter. Dangerous materials, such as sharp swords and daggers, could carry harsher fines. Stricter accountability for illegal dumping: Holding citizens and guests accountable for litter on or near their person may be considered. We need your input. These are serious proposals that require community input. We encourage you to share your thoughts, concerns, and suggestions regarding potential changes to our local ordinances. How you can help right now: Set the example: Properly dispose of all your trash in the Mileth Altar. Report illegal dumping: Note the location, time, and details of incidents and report them to the proper authorities. Let's work together to restore the beauty and health of our community. Your cooperation and feedback are essential to solving this problem for good. Thank you for your attention to this important matter. Please contact myself or another member of the Demagoguery with any questions, comments, or concerns. Thank you, - Burgess Zarathorn
