Guard Instruction Mandate


Section I:

Prior to taking office from Respected Citizen, a potential 1st term Guard is OBLIGATED to inform their sponsor of his or her intention.    This allows the Sponsor the option to withdraw sponsorship. (see responsibilities of Sponsorship).    If proper notice is not given to a sponsor, he/she may contact a guard captain, and the guard in question will be put on probabtion for the remainder of his or her term.
Section II:

It is a crime, punishable by banishment (first offense) to the aisling who takes the office of Guard (1) before approved by a Judge or Guard Captain. A copy of the test taken and answers should be kept a single moon by the test giver to serve as proof of the testing.    In addition, a prospective guard may not take the test from a guild member or family member ((family being spouse, love, and own characters)).    This will cut down on the amount of favoritism and ensure a uniform testing procedure with all possible guard candidates.

Note:    If there are none of the above officials IN OFFICE (this means there are NO judges or Guard Captains in office not that there are none in the lands ((Logged on)), the officials may be replaced in the following order for testing and 1st term guard approval only:

Absence of a
-Judge may be replaced by highest ranking guard captain in office.
-Judge and Guard Captain may be replaced by the highest ranking guard in 
 office who has completed at least 3 terms.
