Harassment, Slander, Intimidation Law
The act of Harassing, Slandering, or intimidating another Aisling is prohibited in the town of Mileth.
On Harassment
Harassment is defined as: Any act which intends to trouble, torment, or annoy another Aisling including relentless pursuance with requests.
If an Aisling feels another Aisling is harassing them, notify a guard of the situation, the names of the Aislings involved, and your location. The guard then needs to investigate or assist in finding another guard to investigate.
In extreme cases, it may be best to not respond at all to the other individual(s) and just remember what the other is saying ((Journals (alt j) and Screen shots (f 12))). If an Aisling feels a conversation has become heated and may evolve into harassment or is uncomfortable with where the conversation has evolved to, the Aisling must tell the others involved that the conversation has ended and they wish no further contact on that subject. If you are being harassed in whispers, you must first ignore ((f9)) the individual before reporting to a guard, if after ignoring, the individual changes persona's ((changes characters)) and whispers you again, you should then report this along with the original harassment to a guard. In the case of Guards being harassed, the guard must contact another official to handle the case.
(Note: If any Aisling is blocked into an area an unable to remove themselves this is considered undeniable harassment and intimidation and is grounds for immediate banishment of the perpetrator. If this blockage causes the death or possible death of the blocked Aisling, the perpetrator can be punished under the murder/attempted murder law)
Harassment that requires initial warning:
1) Practicing skills and/or spells on a defenseless mundane.
2) Practicing spells and/or skills on another Aisling without their prior permission that would have a negative effect. Such spells include, but are not limited to Pramh, Cradh, and Fas Nadur in a non-hostile area. The use of these spells in a hostile area falls under the attempted murder law.
3) The act of scarring a single Aisling more than once a in an eight day period ((more than once a day)).
4) The act of taking an Aisling's mana without permission.
5) The continual giving of unwanted items to an Aisling or the use of exchange on an Aisling to prohibit movement in dangerous areas.
6) The act of sending multiple messages (mails) to a single Aisling for no other purpose than to fill their mail and/or cause them undue time reading. ((spamming mail to a single Aisling))
7) The act of posting negative and harmful information about the spirit of an Aisling ((the player)) on any board (true or false) can be considered harassment. ((This includes posting ooc information and naming assumed characters of another player.))
