<<< Mileth Law

Political Power Act VI

V. Persistence

Office seeking and participation is a voluntary affair, no aisling may claim freedom from the time their term ends where pending actions are concerned and the law in general. All pending cases against an official should be concluded within four moons of the end of any terms or be dropped. Fleeing the lands ((inactivity/offline)) or renouncing citizenship does not grant immunity. Former officials are subject to behavior-based conduct between terms up to one deoch.

VI. Knights

A Knight may be requested to fill-in for substitution as defined in section I and II. This is a voluntary interaction between Mileth and Knights. The request for Knight assistance is as a last resort due to some level of bias, lack of activity, etc. They are not allowed to be the lead official for any substitution.

Due to the nature of Knights, they cannot be punished normally under Mileth Law.

In the case of criminal violations, a ranger is to be called to handle those cases.

In the case of misconduct violations, a Knight may be found guilty just like any official of Mileth.

Where laws may mention Mileth Officials, a Knight may be considered instead for misconduct. If this is the case, they are to be blacklisted from all activities in Mileth. Knights who are blacklisted must remain on this list for at least eight deochs to indefinitely. When investigating Knight misconduct, they will be considered a rank value of 6.

Blacklisted Knights will have the following exclusions:

A. Knight-Based Mediation or Investigations
- Another Knight is requested to replace them.

B. Substitution
- Mileth Reviews/Investigations/etc.

C. Sponsorship
- Any aisling beyond Respected Citizen found sponsored by blacklisted Knight after the enactment is to be removed from office where reasonable or avoidable it as such.

D. Pardons (exile/banishment)
- Inappropriate exile pardons or unbanishments are to be reported to the Mundanes.

Once a Knight has been blacklisted for the minimum time, they may eventually be allowed to operate within Mileth again. They must have three Knights who approve delisting them visit Mileth and create a petition. These Knights must also have town law experience or this petition is considered invalid. The petition must receive a 75% approval over a period of four moons where those individuals voting are any officials in term beyond Respected Citizen.
